How we use your data when you log in to the Site

This website requires a customer user account to log in to book training courses and access www.smartorder.co.uk. If you are not a Smart fabricator customer you do not need a to register for a user account.

The account details you must provide to create a user account must include an active email address. The email address is used for access by you and administration of the account for us so that we can identify (now, historically or retrospectively from a point in the future) a user placing an order. We may also use the data to communicate directly with a user or users regarding matters relating to the account or operation of the website.

Email addresses are stored on our webserver with encrypted access details and backed up to a secure private location. This data is accessible only to Smart Systems and is neither shared with nor sold to any other person or organisation.

Session cookies are used to maintain a login and to enable progress through the ordering system. These cookies are temporary. They are not stored on or written to your machine and expire when your browser closes.

How we use your data as a non-logged in visitor to the Site

No log in is required to access any other areas of the website, or for downloading documents and therefore no personal details are submitted although anonymous data relating to the clicks and choices made by visitors to these areas of the site may be collected for statistical analysis.

Session cookies are used to store preferred settings when building a door such as colour so that you do not have to re-set your chosen colour each time you select a door. These cookies are temporary.
